It appears that Taking On Timeshare is being run by the same people that ran The Owners Adviocate. You can read about what happened with those that trusted The Owners Advocate here:

Therefore I would highly advise to stay away from Taking On Timeshare as you will just be throwing more of your hard earned money away. As always, it is never a good idea to pay upfront fees to get rid of your timeshare.

Never pay upfront for any service in the timeshare industry. if they are asking for upfront fees, they are probably up to scam you again.

Lately, many companies are being open who claim that they can help you cancel timeshare contracts. Be careful since they offer a money back guarantee but you have to wait two years from the time you contracted the service to make it valid. by that time, your timeshare was cancelled due to lack of payment and your credit is probably ruined.

Jose Gonzalez.

This appears to be true, although David Humphreys has denied it in court documents. I hope to post more about this once I can post with links.
